“The most thoroughly wasted of all days is that which one has not laughed”
Nicholas de Chamfort

Friends and the City First Newsletter

Welcome to Friends and the City’s first newsletter.

If I was to say one of the things you should do before you die is to take one of our packages you would obviously say it was an advertising ploy instead I want to ask “What are your most precious or memorable moment/s?”

One of mine is the laughter and imagination of my young son.  His laughter is contagious and whatever day I’m having his laughter makes me smile.  Enter his world of imagination and be swept by the unimaginable.

We lose this as we get older as we get bogged down with our daily routine and adult problems.  Society today doesn’t help with all the time constraints.  A child sees beauty in the most simple and insignificant everyday events.  Their face lights up when they see the moon, the stars, raindrops and the ocean.  The things we take for granted.

How did Friends and the City originate?  Out of a short five minute shower break when the stream of a morning shower awakens the senses.  We then combined the most important piece – friendship.  Two close friends thought of their dreams, wishes and most of all what makes them laugh, after all laughter is always the best medicine.

We realised that some of our most fun times were so long ago and that entertainment seemed the usual so we wanted to change that and “Friends and the City” was born.

We began to talk about our loves and our individual packages were invented.  One of our all time favourite series is “Sex and the City” as it reflects the importance of friendship.  Being amongst friends brings joy and the trials and tribulations of life can be minimised with the company of close friends.  We love Samantha, not because of her sexual attributes but the woman oozes confidence.

Sarah Jessica Parker lover her shoes.  What woman doesn’t love shoes?  She is the star of the show and is smart and witty.  We also enjoyed the old favourite “Cocktails” with Tom Cruise.  Tom in this movie achieves his dream at all costs as well as fights for love in its true sense.  Some our packages have been derived from or have features of our loves.

Our website therefore is to join people together for what matters most, enjoying life!

Friends and the City strive to involve and incorporate YOU with our services.  Write to us and let us know your loves, what makes you laugh as well as how we can provide other packages that you would like to experience.  We will certainly try our best to find or invent experiences for you.
